Stockholm School of Economics in Riga
The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) was established as a non-profit limited liability company by the Stockholm School of Economics under a joint mandate from the Governments of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Latvia, the latter represented by the Ministry of Education and Science, in accordance with an agreement dated June 30, 1993. The School opened its doors to the first cohort of students in summer 1994.
The School's Mission is to contribute to the economic, social, and democratic development of the region.
The mission rests on five pillars that have arisen during the School’s first 25 years – the B.Sc. programme (and core activity); the Executive Education and EMBA programmes; Research, and the Centre for Media Studies.
